A Sheffield Song Book
Commissioned by Sheffield Young Singers in 2008, A Sheffield Song Book is a celebration of why Sheffield is a great place to live. Funny and moving by turns, the suite of six songs gives a child’s eye view of the playgrounds, museums, football teams, rivers and industrial heritage of our City and the World in our street.
What do we sing?
Sheffield Young Singers sang a far ranging repertoire from Lebanese folk songs and Zulu greetings to Mozart and Caccini, taking in musical theatre, pop anthems, folk and film music on the way.
